Trendsend review #3

I always get so excited when my subscription clothing boxes come. Trendsend is Evereve’s clothing box and they put these together in the store. With everything going on with COVID, I’m hesitant to actually go shopping in clothing stores and this way, I get items delivered to me and I can try them on in my home where there’s no harsh lighting or viruses that want to make me sick. Ha.

You can sign up for 1, 2, or 3-month subscriptions (I’m currently doing 2) or you can request one on demand. It works similar to Stitch Fix where you fill out a style profile and you get clothes sent to you, but with Trendsend, you get 8 or so pieces or 2-3 outfits.

Blaire Romper ($62)

I have in my profile to send me dresses and rompers in a large. I can go from there if I need to size up or down, so why they sent me an XL is beyond me and it was so freaking big on me, it was hard to get a good picture of what it really looked like. I’ve never worn a romper in my life, but I didn’t think this looked too bad on me. But I knew I needed a medium in this, so I requested one. We’ll see how that size ends up looking on me.

Verdict: Kept, but exchanging for another size

Strapless Maxi Dress ($72)

I was actually debating keeping this dress because I did think it looked good on me. Maybe slightly too big, but I wondered if I looked a little washed out. I would have paid for it without cringing, but I don’t know, it didn’t blow me away. Which is a shame, because it was made with such a lightweight material that it would have made the perfect summer dress.

Verdict: Returned

Perfect Knot Tank ($39) + Formation Crop ($89)

The tank was a tad too transparent for me and honestly, I think the color washed me out a little with my skin tone of pasty white chick, but I did like the capris. And I did like both of these paired together. Maybe if the shirt was darker.

But again, it came down to the price. And that for summer, I would definitely want something shorter.

Verdict: Returned and returned

Georgina Tie Dyed Cami ($52) + Squad Shorts ($62)

My stylist advised me to wear these two pieces together and I loved how it looked. There wasn’t anything about either of these I didn’t like except they were both pricy and together would have been over $100 which Chris would have SO KILLED ME OH MY GOD for a tank top and shorts.

So I was sad but I just couldn’t justify the price.

Verdict: Returned and returned

Fray Edge Cami ($61)

I liked this cami except for the length. I. Do. Not. Look. Good. In. Short. Shirts. And the price…way too much for a plain black cami, even if the frays were cute. This is what made me go back in my style profile and request no more shorter tops. I know they’re in now, but the last time I wore shirts this short I was in 10th grade.

Verdict: Returned

Kindness is Free Tee ($34)

I actually did like this shirt, only I wish it wasn’t in white. (White and two kids is never good.) Plus, the Pride festival was canceled this year, and that would have been a prime time to wear this out, so I guess I’m not too bummed.

Trendsend review #3

Verdict: Returned

While I initially kept the one romper, I did end up returning it to the store because even the medium was too big in the chest and I knew I’d always be fidgeting with it. So that’s too bad. Plus, I started thinking, if I’m going to have a romper, maybe there is one in a different size and style I’d like better for the price.

Though thanks to you who are keeping me well-dressed, I did have a 20% off credit to use which went toward this, so it made it fabulously cheap.

I’m still looking forward to the next box. While I was in Evereve returning the romper, I got a chance to glace around a bit and realized how amazing their clothes were and I never knew the store existed. I know I’ll be in a mask, but I really wanted to look around there and try some things on.

Trendsend is still offering the $1 styling fee if you wanted to try them out. Even if you keep nothing, you only are out a dollar, right? I’d love it if you used my link to create an account because both of us will receive a 20% discount on each of the items we get!

Other than the waaaay too expensive orange top they did you NO FAVORS at all with their color selection for you. Not knowing how they do their questionaire but COLOR should be a key. The strapless in a cobalt blue or true teal might have worked but that spotted animal print was totally not good. You made the right choice each time!! Good for you.
And thank you for writing. SO MUCH!!!!! The news today was just real and I needed the lift.

PS: I am not related to you at all. But you are really pretty and I think you are dropping baby weight! Hard to do!! Slow and steady will work.
