Reading: The 7th book in the Outlander series, An Echo in the Bone on my Nook, and I started a book called Get Wise, which was written by the pastor of our church, and it’s been so good! I highly recommend it.
Watching: I’m still making my way through “Pretty Little Liars,” and rewatching “Grey’s Anatomy.” Chris and I have also been watching “Red Oaks” on Amazon and that’s been really funny!
Listening: To the last few days of Christmas music for it’s gone for another year!
Drinking: Chris used some of his money to buy a French Press so I’ve been a total coffee snob and drinking coffee from that. Also, I’m trying to rehydrate myself from Christmas, when I’m bad at drinking my water because socializing is a lot of work.
Eating: Chris made Cinnabon Cinnamon Rolls Christmas Eve morning for us and Olivia and I just had some bites of one. And tonight for dinner, we’re heating up leftovers of the Honey Lime Chicken Enchiladas I made Christmas Eve.
Wearing: It’s 11:30 a.m. at the time I’m writing this and Olivia and I are still in pajamas. I got some from my mom and I have my bathrobe on because it’s cold downstairs. Granted I’ve also been running around cleaning for the last hour and a half.
Loving: The start of a new year. There’s something about it that brings about freshness and a chance to start over. I know there are many who aren’t into resolutions and don’t get the excitement of New Year’s, but I’ve always loved it. I think it’s my OCD: starting a new planner, opening a new calendar.
Anticipating: A lot of work to do in the next 90 days. As part of a freelance course I just took, I have goals of pitching 20 trade and commercial magazines in hopes of landing two regular clients to increase my income this year. So it will be a lot of work, and right now, I’m still working on finishing the course itself, finding the 20 sites to pitch, and getting my planner set up for all this. Whew. Wish me luck.
Hoping: That Chris gets the promotion he’s been working toward. We’ll find out in January.
Following: I revamped my Twitter account for my blog and freelancing and am working on being more active on there for networking. I still don’t 100% know how to use it. Follow me!
Wondering: How humans can live in such cold weather. We’re going to be hovering around the teens and 0 all this week into the weekend.
Trying: To keep the goal of doing yoga once a week.
Worrying: About money, about if we’ll have enough for a transfer this coming year.
Planning: I’ve got my new bullet journal almost all set up for January and a bit into February. I’m so excited to start it.
Contemplating: What other slow cooker and Instant Pot recipes I can make this winter. Leave them in the comments below if you have any tried and true ones!!!
