This was Stitch Fix box #3 and I was just as excited to get it on my doorstep as I was for my first. This time, I got a new stylist and requested a jean jacket and purse that was suggested for a prior top I got last time. The exact items weren’t available, but she sent me some similar items. I was really hoping this stylist would nail it better than the one before. I think she did pretty good. I mean, I honestly liked all the items in there, but there were just problems with sizing overall. Here’s what I got.
1822 Denim Wynter Skinny Jean ($40)
So funny story, but each of my fixes (and my Trendsend box in which I kept the expensive jeans) have all included dark jeans. I mean, how many pairs of dark jeans can one girl have? Where are the other colors? Do people only wear dark jeans? I have so many questions.
With this box, it was too late, but I updated my style profile to reflect the fact that I wasn’t interested in any more dark denim jeans after this fix. So I had to laugh pulling out my fourth pair of similar-colored jeggings and thought oh yay another pair of dark jeggings. But then. I tried them on (for the sake of the picture, of course) and they were really comfortable. And more in my price range than the ones I got for my last two fixes.
Normally, the jeggings I buy tend to stretch over a few uses, but I’ve been wearing them a few times and so far so good.
Verdict: Kept
Brina & Em Angelia Curved Hem Knit Top ($40)
When I pulled this out, I was actually pretty confident I was going to love this. And I do. I love the stripes. I love the red color. I love the feel of it. But then I put it on and was just so so about it.
I’m not crazy about it. Which actually makes me sad, because I wanted to love it and it just wasn’t happening.
Verdict: Returned
Kaileigh Kaela Faux Wrap Knit Dress ($54)
I had requested a spring/summer dress and this one was so fun. I loved the style, but it was too loose on me in the chest. Like, I had to keep pulling it up because my boobs are huge thank you kids and while that made it a fabulous dress to nurse in, I also didn’t feel like constantly checking myself when I would be wearing it.
Luckily, after chatting with their customer service, and only waiting a few days, I had a medium sent to me which fit better. So I’m happy to say:
Verdict: Kept
Street Level Anchorage Diamond Printed Tote ($64)
This was a purse I requested to get, and I was so excited about it because I didn’t have anything like it. But then I received the actual purse and it was a lot bigger than I was thinking it was. There wasn’t anything particularly wrong with it, but I just didn’t need another big tote.
Plus, while I love roomy purses, I’m not a fan of the ones with both sides open and a middle pocket with zipper. I’m constantly losing things in the depths of these sides and it just ends up really annoying me. So alas,
Verdict: Returned
Liverpool Kolten Denim Jacket ($88)
I requested a certain jacket be sent in this box and it wasn’t available. I got this one, but I wasn’t feeling the darkness of it. Plus, it seemed slightly too big around my chest. I haven’t worn an actual jean jacket in ages (probably since the last time they were popular) so I might be just too picky.
The price was easily the deciding factor. There was no way I was going to think about keeping it for that much money.
Verdict: Returned
Cosabella Sleepshirt in Burgundy ($68)
This was an extra I received in my fix. I have a few nightgowns, including a nursing one and I thought this one was super cute. I was looking forward to getting it, but when I tried it on, something just felt off. Not to mention it was too small. Which is obviously what’s wrong with women’s clothing in general.
And unfortunately, they didn’t have an XL available (which always makes me wonder if this is the size most people need) so I couldn’t exchange it. And in wearing it, I noticed I was starting to get warm in it. I hardly ever sleep in long sleeves and need very little to sleep in at night as it is. So back in the box it goes.
Verdict: Returned
I kept a dress and a pair of jeans. Honestly, that’s not too bad for me, but it left me feeling annoyed about clothing sizes. The shirt, the dress, and the nightshirt were all larges. The shirt fit great. The dress was too big. This nightshirt was too small. But they were all the same size.
But this is why I love Stitch Fix. I rarely order clothes online because of the hassle of returning them if they don’t fit. I float between a medium and a large, so I never know which size is truly going to look good on me and it’s why I get so frustrated with clothes. But it’s been so easy to return things from Stitch Fix and their customer service has been great to work with.
You look great! I’m excited you found another pair of jeans.
The size thing is so crazy! But also so relatable. With all the technology we have available to us, whyyyyy can’t women’s clothes be more consistent?
Disappointing about the bag. I see why you requested it – so pretty! But also enormous. Oops. And you’re totally right about the jacket fitting weird – you can do better.
Can’t wait to read more of your reviews. You give me hope that I can find comfy, cute clothes too.

Exactly. So much technology…so little regard for clothing sizes. Thank you! I hope you can too!
Oooh, I love that dress! So cute! It’s the worst when you see something and you’re like, “This is going to be AWESOME!” and then you put it on and it’s “This is so meh.” I love all the pictures, you are adorable.

I know. And I feel like I’m slightly more critical because if I was in the stores, I may have just purchased things but for some reason being in my own home, I judge them more harshly.
