Coronavirus through a child’s eyes

This was actually posted on my Facebook, but I wanted to post it here (for the memories, of course).

Coronavirus through a child’s eyes

I think I can say in full confidence that I’ve done a good job of completely shielding her from what’s happening.

1. What is the Coronavirus? Dinosaurus (???)

2. Who is the president? Olivia (I wish)

3. How many days have we been in lockdown? 12 years (I’ve never seen anything so accurate.)

4. Do you want to go back to school/daycare? Uh huh! (Me too, kid. Me too)

5. Who is the first person you are going to hug when lockdown is over? GIGI!

6. Where is the first place you want to go? To the zoo.

7. What do you think we can do to get rid of the coronavirus? Burp. (If only it were that simple.)

8. Is mommy a good teacher? Yeah. And Miss Sarah! (I’m willing to bet her daycare provider is a much better teacher than I am)

9. How did the Coronavirus start? By rashes. (Ominous)

10. If you had to wear protective clothing to help you, what would it be? Hiccupping. And wearing masks! (after some prompting)

11. Are you enjoying the lockdown? Yep. (Lies)

Love this! We spoke to my four year old nephew today who claimed he was only watching TV all day. This despite the photographic evidence my sister has been baking, crafting and creating imaginary cafes with her two boys most days, as well as arranging virtual play dates! Selective memory is a wonderful thing : )
