Another photo dump because I suck at blogging these days.
We’ve been spending as much time outside as we can knowing winter is coming.
Chris and I finally got out for the entire day, leaving the girls with a babysitter. Seriously. This was 10 am to about 7:00 that evening and it was amazing. Since COVID we’ve been averaging about 2 dates a year, so this was big for us. We went to the Van Gogh exhibit and spent several hours there.
Seriously. Despite having to wear a mask the whole time, it was so relaxing.
Afterward, we went to a coffee shop I had always wanted to go to, passing by this abandoned historic house.
Seriously. Do you see this stained glass?
Then we did dinner at an upscale restaurant and I ate my body weight in pasta and free bread and it was pretty much perfect. And the girls did so well.
We spent a few weekends exploring our favorite small town.
Olivia loves getting steamers and walking around by the river. The baby patiently waits for the day she can get her own.
One morning, while the kids were at school, Chris called me into his office to show me the deer that had lost their way and ended up in our yard. This is NOT a regular occurrence and we felt bad for their confusion.
The girls love eating dinner outside. We got a smaller table and chairs to put on our deck and it makes it easier than going down all the way to the patio where the other table is.
One day after school, I picked Olivia up and we went to the coffee shop.
She loves having “girls day” with me.
