Merry Christmas Eve!
This post is part of the 30 Day Infertility Blogging Challenge. I thought this might be a great way for me to focus on my infertility, but also to show myself in a different light. You can read the whole series by clicking here.
16. If you are not yet a parent: What are you MOST looking forward to about parenthood?
This one is tough. There are a lot. (Otherwise, I would not be keeping a blog and trying desperately to procreate). What am I most looking forward to?
I would say, watching.
Watching my baby come into the world.
Watching my husband hold her for the first time.
Watching him sleep.
Watching her smile at me for the first time.
Watching my husband become overcome with emotion when she says her first word.
Watching him take his first steps.
Watching him playing with the dog, giggling.
Watching this life, that I never thought could actually exist, sleeping in the bedroom that I thought would always be for storage.
Watching this walking, talking miracle, that Chris and I made together (along with the good doctor and nursing staff at CRM and the wonders of modern reproductive technology).
I am simply looking forward to falling in love with my child, for having him or her here with me, always in amazement at what comes from never giving up.
