This is actually an old post I had saved in my drafts, but the pictures are so pretty that I need to publish it even though it’s spring and we’re now in short sleeves.
I remember this day in January. I never got a picture of them because I was driving, but on the way to and from Olivia’s preschool, I drove past this row of trees along the road. They’re pretty insignificant trees; I’ve never even really paid attention to them.
But that day…they were breathtaking. Unlike anything I could describe, with each of the thousands of pine needles on these four trees frozen with white ice and snow.
Honestly, I thought this winter would be extra hard with the virus and staying home much more, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought. Maybe it was the increase in my anti-anxiety or the CBD capsules I now occasionally take, but it felt OK this year. The cold wasn’t too harsh, the snow wasn’t too crazy.
I’m definitely more of a spring/fall girl than anything, so I’m glad the warmer weather is here. You know, before the mosquitos and humidity. But photos like these remind me winter can still be beautiful here in Minnesota.
THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! What a joy to see your pictures and hear your winter came out alright given the situation we are all in. CHEERS!!!!
Those are beautiful, and I can imagine even more so in person! I’m glad the winter was better than expected up there for you guys; the winter seemed pretty long here in Oregon. Definitely glad to be seeing sun and flowers! It helps that our risk level dropped two and we are able to do more things.
