Congratulations to Tiffany, winner of yesterday’s Panera Bread giveaway!
Soooo… coffee. Do you like coffee? Coffee is a huge part of my life. I mean, obviously there is the caffeine kick. Because #momlife. But I’ve been into coffee for years now and it’s so much more than a pick me up. Chris and I have some of our best talks over cups of coffee. How many hours have I spent blogging, curled up under a blanket with a mug of coffee? And meeting friends at a coffee shop is one of my favorite things to do.
If you aren’t in the Midwest, you may not have heard of Caribou Coffee*. I love Starbucks as much as the next person, but there is something about the cozy atmosphere of Caribou that keeps me coming back. It was even the location of my infertility support group back in the day.
So whether you live around the midwest, or not, I’d like to give you a bag of this coffee. And this mug. To remind you of how beautiful you are, even if you are wearing leggings and a messy bun with no makeup (as I may or may not be doing right now).
All you have to do to enter to win is:
- Subscribe to my blog, if you haven’t already, and
- Leave a comment on this post telling me why you love a good cup of coffee (or other related hot beverage that isn’t as good as coffee). (Comments on Facebook and Instagram WON’T count. The comments need to be left here.)
The Caribou Coffee and Pink Mug giveaway (valid only in the U.S. and Canada) will end on January 12 (tonight) at 11:59pm, CST.
The winner will be chosen at random by Random Name Picker the next morning.
The winner will be notified by email the following day, and will have 24 hours to reply back to me, or a new winner will be chosen. All prizes will be mailed out to winners at the end of the giveaway series.
*Hey guys! This post is not sponsored. I just really love this product!
Coffee is part of my routine and routine is comforting. Hot coffee (or warm, I have kids so let’s face it) is both energizing and relaxing.
There was a caribou coffee near my house when I was in college and first working. Such a cozy place. Happy memories when I saw your post today.

Aww yay! So glad I could bring back nostalgia for you!
I am a mom as well as a full-time nursing student. Coffee is a must for me! My son doesn’t care if I have late night lectures and/or study sessions, he’s still up at 7am bright and early every day!
Author
Ooo been there. I became an addict in nursing school. But I couldn’t imagine doing it all with a baby. You are amazing.
mmmmmm!!!! Coffee! Although I’m more of a “little coffee in my creamer type girl!”
I’m also one of those “little coffee in my creamer” types!
Author
Ha ha!!
Yes me for coffee EVERY SINGLE morning because I’m toddler!! Haha. It gets me going and ready to chase him all over the place. Ive never tried this coffee before, sounds yummy!! Love the mug too.
Author
Yep! Toddlers. This is fabulous coffee.
A mint condition wakes me up instantly.
Author
I love Mint Conditions!!! That was actually my very first drink at Caribou in high school.
Oh coffee. I don’t think I could live without it. The warmth, the caffeine, the ritual… and with children it feels absolutely necessary. 🙂
Author
It is certainly a necessity.
I’m pretty new to the world of coffee but have always enjoyed a cup of hot tea, particularly when shared with a good friend.
Author
Sharing hot beverages with a friend is the best!
Why I love a good cup of coffee….
1. I am a mom of 3 boys. Caffeine is a must in order to survive my day!
2. It’s delicious!!
3. My obsession with coffee mugs!! Seriously, I love coffee mugs.
Author
Oh my gosh, yes! Three boys means at least three cups of coffee.
I love coffee because I have a toddler and a full time HR job. It keeps me going on those days where I just don’t think I have anything left in me.
Author
Yes! Most definitely.
I LOVE coffee! For many reasons. But mostly for that caffeine kick. Because. Kids. No matter how much (or how little) sleep I get, my morning cup of coffee is always right there to help me deal. Now, I don’t always get to sip my coffee leisurely while it’s hot (thanks to my littles) BUT even microwaved a couple times, it still is one of my daily favorites. I love Caribou and am SO excited that there is a brand new location going up just 5 minutes from my house!!
Author
I’ve never microwaved coffee so much in my life as I’ve done in the past year. 🙂
I am a big coffee & hot chocolate drinker. Gives me something to do on a cold winter day!
Author
Yep!
#coffeeislife
Seriously what would the world be like with out some Joe?
My favorite thing is a strong cup of coffee, a good book and a fuzzy blanket on a freezing cold day.
Author
Pretty much a perfect day for me. 🙂
Tea drinker here! I always start my day with a nice cuppa.
My brother worked at Caribou during college, and he met his fiancée there! Even though I’m not a coffee drinker, i loved stopping by his store so my favorite barista could make me some hot cocoa!
Author
Fun! And yes, I’m definitely a fan of hot cocoa too.
I’ve been staring at this blank comment box for the last 10 minutes while I waited for my coffee to kick in. I’d label it love, but it’s probably more of an unhealthy dependency (:
Author
Yessss!! This.
I enjoy my morning coffee as it’s warm and comforting and creamy. 🙂 I also enjoy Caribou.
Author
Yes!!!
I LOVE caribou….Starbucks is okay and so is Dunn Bros but I always come back to the comfort of caribou. My fiancé and I have had many bonding sessions over caribou coffee, and we always buy the big bulk bag of coffee at Costco as well for when we are at home. He likes his black, where I like a little coffee to my creamer. Haha.
Author
Ha ha!!
I love coffee because it wakes me up.
Author
Certainly does! Thanks for the comment!
Coffee..the only way to start my day and for my co-workers to survive me 🙂
Author
Ha ha!
Coffee became a morning ritual for me when I became a Mama. Mostly because I was on maternity leave and had the time to brew a good cup daily. Now it is so much more than a caffeine boost that I require to function…because, yup: #momlife. Now it is the promise of a warm cup of delight that prompts me to get out of bed in the morning. The days is so much more pleasant when it starts with a little yummy 🙂
Author
Yep!
I don’t know where to start with coffee… it’s just the best thing ever invented. My mom says my dad put it in my bottle when I was a toddler (go dad of the 70’s!) But I remember enjoying it as a treat at Krispy Kreme with my mom when I was teenager. Starbucks with my sister as an adult. I’ve converted my husband from soda to coffee. And don’t get me started on my coffee mug obsession!
Author
You’re right. It’s THE BEST thing ever invented. And did we just become best friends? You have a mug obsession too??
I’m not a coffee drinker, but my husband is and it would be fun to gift him with a new coffee to try. As for myself, we have recently discovered the joy of sharing hot chocolate with the kids. I could use a fancy pink mug telling me I’m gorgeous while being a not so glamorous mom to my toddlers!
Author
Bah ha ha! And that sounds fun! Ollie has a little snowman mug I’m just WAITING for her to use for this reason!
Reminds me of my grandpa when he woke up at 4am to get ready for work. He introduced me to the wonderful combo of coffee and Olvaltine at the ripe age of 4 years old. If you haven’t tried it, you’ve been missing out!
Author
Ha! That’s awesome.
Coffee is my daily gentle and delicious reminder to slow down and relax. Gives me the opportunity to snuggle up on the couch, talk to my husband, watch my daughter play, or even read a book. When I go go go all day with work and a toddler, coffee is the little pick-me-up and dose of caffeine I need to get through the day sometimes. Thank you for the opportunity.
Author
That’s a perfect way to describe it! I love this. You are very welcome. Thanks for the inspiring comment.
Coffee! There is nothing better than getting together with loved ones and friends over a cup of coffee. Whether it’s a quick cup, or a leisurely two hour coffee, nothing is better than the time spent with my pals talking about life whilst drinking a hot cup of coffee. 🙂
Author
Absolutely, girl. Thanks for the comment.
While I do enjoy coffee, my go to drink is lemon ginger tea with honey. I started drinking it when we were TTC. I had 5 pregnancy that all made it far enough to come with all day sickness but only one pregnancy that went to term. That’s a lot of puking with what felt like no pay off for the longest time. Then my little Livy came along and I realized I’d do it all again. the only thing that soothed my up chuck was the Lemon Ginger tea. I’ve been hooked every since.
Author
That’s definitely a lot of sickness, Linda. It’s so unfair. I can see how that would hook you, though, and it’s a much healthier alternative to coffee.
I absolutely love that mug! I am not a coffee drinker but I would drink my mothers milk tea out of the mug and give the coffee to my hubby!
Author
Love it! Maybe I should get better at drinking that tea.
I love coffee because it relaxes me. It’s my treat when I have to drag my two 2 year olds and one year olds into town
Author
Ha ha! Oh my yes.
I am not a coffee drinker (no judging) but I do love me a nice cup of hot chocolate. Surviving in Minnesota = fireplace, fuzzy blanket, and a cup of hot chocolate.
Author
I’m sort of judging you, but at least you like hot chocolate. 🙂
Since I’m currently pregnant I don’t get coffee……one of the things I look forward to after the baby. I love hanging out in coffee shops and my small town is getting one this fall, so perfect timing!!!
Author
Yay!!
Coffee is my life blood and gets me going in the morning – when I don’t have it, you know it! It is a staple to my everyday routine 🙂
Author
Ha ha!
I love a good cup of coffee! Very needed as a mom and RN!
Author
I can relate on both levels!
I know it’s strange but I actually prefer hot chocolate or apple cider to coffee. You’re so right, though, that with a hot drink in hand the conversation is better and the relaxing more complete! Thanks for the giveaway!
Author
Yes! And you’re so welcome! Thanks for the comment. 🙂
I love a good cup of coffee. To me, it’s not just about the great energetic feeling I get from it. It’s the memories!! The association of being with someone having a really great conversation. The really good cup at Perkins with my mom and sister while we catch up on our lives for a hour or two. Begging my son-in-law to please make a pot of coffee after a great meal at their house, when they are bringing out the dessert, because we know this is the time of the evening that we are all going to relax on their comfy couches and talk. My husband and me sitting on our favorite couches talking about how great it is to sit there and relax on a weekend morning and drink coffee together. Getting together with my friends for breakfast early on a Saturday because the only thing getting me to that restaurant that early is the great cup of coffee I know I’m going to have. Doesn’t really matter where I go to have my coffee, i just always love the company.
Author
Love this! It’s all about the relationships. <3
I love the taste and the ‘ritual’ of having coffee in the morning!
Author
Yes. I love the ritual of it too. Like, when I don’t have it, I feel like something is off. (Probably something an addict would say…)
I love me a good ol’ cup o’ joe in the morning to wake me up! I have 3 energetic girls so I have to be prepared. Nothing does it like coffee! Plus I may or may not have an addiction to mugs. #ididntchoosethemuglife #themuglifechoseme

Those hashtags, though! 😉
