This has been sitting in my drafts folder since September of 2016 and I have no idea why I had all these questions for a future blog post, but I had added the link at the end where I found them on someone else’s blog which seems to be a really strange site don’taskmehowifounditkthxbai
May as well fill it out, right? **
Name: Risa
Age: 34
Home city/Country: Minneapolis, MN
Current Occupation: (student, current job, etc.): Freelance writer, blogger, nurse, lady of leisure
Time I wake up: Er, when it’s absolutely necessary. Or, you know, give or take 8:00 am.
First thing I do in the morning: Right now? Pull the baby off my boob.
My typical breakfast: Something easy. Or when Olivia guilts me into scrambled eggs because she’s had processed death muffins for the last four days in a row.
Here’s what my morning commute is like: Sometimes I swear at other drivers when I take Olivia to daycare and preschool.
I spend most of my day doing: Mom stuff. Leave the dishes for Chris. Breastfeed the baby.
After work or school, I like to: Try to get Chris to have deep conversations with me.
A fun night for me includes: Eating three slices of pizza, putting the kids to bed early, drinking wine with Chris and passing out on the couch at 9:15.
Time I go to sleep: Most of the time about 10:30 pm.
Last thing I do at night: It used to be reading. Now it’s checking to make sure the baby is breathing, spooning Chris and wondering when I’m going to be woken up in the middle of the night.
My favorite thing to do for fun: Going out to eat or for coffee with a friend. Bonus if pretzels and cheese sauce is involved.
My biggest fear right now: One of us dying. Me. Chris. The babies. Why do I think of death so often?
My biggest hope right now: That I will be able to bounce back physically from ten years of fertility treatments and pregnancies.
Someday I’d like to: Learn the entire lyrics to “Turtle Power” by Partners in Kryme so I can sing it to Olivia.
The biggest challenge I have overcome so far: Infertility? Can I say infertility? Surviving seven embryo transfers?
The biggest challenge I hope to overcome: Getting through the teenage years with two daughters.
Being a woman is wonderful because: You can get away with a lot of things when you have a vagina and can cry on command.
Being a woman is a challenge because: You have to fight harder than men to be taken seriously. Probably because I cry a lot.
What’s your favorite meal or recipe: This is so tough because I love food and I love to cook. I would say my mother-in-law’s lasagna recipe.
** I have so many ideas for posts. So many posts that can inspire someone or help them through a tough time. Instead, I’m blogging about drafts that obviously weren’t important enough to mention back then.
